CENTRAL CHAPEL -- LANE-MOYNIHAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS Our staff adheres to the highest standard of ethical practices and constantly strive to improve the ways they can better serve the community through continuing education and upgrading service features...without raising costs. We like to think that what separates our firm from the rest is their great love of the funeral itself and a compassion for grieving families that takes form in the undertaking of the greatest and smallest details to relieve needless burdens during difficult times. Our funeral directors are seasoned and steady. Bob Moynihan grew up in Evergreen Park and has great knowledge (and a great love) of the south side, southwest and south suburbs. Bob has also had a lot of experience serving families in the city and on the north side and has a reputation as the consummate professional and expert on all maters funeral. Together, they are a real team, always available for consultation.

Moynihan, Funeral Director/ President/Owner Email: RJMoynihan@aol.com Office Phone: 773-581-9000 Fax: 773-581-9095 Home Phone: 773-581-9000 Founder of Lane-Moynihan Funeral Directors and licensed in 1983, Bob Moynihan is the quintessential funeral director. He came into the funeral business at age 15 without any family history in funeral service. He fervently believes in the value of funeral and memorial services, that every life needs to be honored and that each service needs to be tailored to fit the uniqueness of the individual. At Central Chapel, he has found a way to do that so as to serve families that greatly differ with respect to cultures, financial concerns and location. Bob prides himself on helping people craft the best possible service for their loved ones and demands a level of unsurpassed excellence in all facets of the service so as to continue to strike the standard he learned from his early mentors in funeral service. Bob is a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, National-Louis University, and Catholic Theological Union at Chicago. In his spare time, Bob is a guest speaker at Unity Churches, is an avid writer, has a blog, and enjoys his summer home in Kenosha. Bob is a certified crematory operator, member of the Cremation Association of North America and recently joined a national group of cremation specialists to access better ways to serve families seeking cremation and contemporary, simplified services. |

| Art DePesa, Family Care Associate Office Phone: 773-581-9000 Fax: 773-581-9095 A native Chicagoan, Art served his country in the U.S. Army, studied at the University of Heidelberg and spent the bulk of his career in key leadership roles serving as Administrator, Comptroller, and Director of Customer Service in the corporate sector. He’s lived in the Clearing neighborhood for 40 years where he is active at St. Symphorosa Church, as well as numerous civic organizations where he donates his time. Art’s first experience working in a funeral home was as a wake attendant at the Heinen and Loschetter Funeral Home. There he worked for Nicholas W. Loschetter, a legendary south side funeral director whose reputation as a perfectionist was rivaled only by his dedication to grieving families. In later years, Art worked as Office Manager and Chapel Attendant at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 5800 W. 63rd St., until it closed 4 years ago, in part, due to the dilapidated condition of the building. More recently, Art worked as a Chapel Attendant at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home in Palos Hills which he found very rewarding except that he wanted to serve families at a funeral home in Clearing he’d be comfortable lending his expertise to. On joining the staff at Central Chapel, Art said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the finest funeral directors and am delighted to have a first class funeral home in Clearing, once again, where I can lend my experience and, hopefully, make a difference for families during the hardest of times.” |
